Grown in the misty highlands of Timor-Leste's Letefoho region, Lebudu Kriak is the combined work of ten smallholder farmers who cultivate coffee beneath the slopes of Mount Tatamailau, the country's highest peak. This remote, high-elevation landscape is known for producing exceptional coffee, thanks to its rich soils, cool mountain climate, and generations of farming tradition.
The coffee is produced through Café Brisa Serena (CBS), a farmer-led organization dedicated to improving quality, sustainability, and economic opportunity in rural communities. Working alongside their coffee trees, farmers grow other crops and create their own organic fertilizers from farm byproducts, nurturing both the land and their livelihoods.
This lot features Timor Hybrid and Typica varieties, coffees prized for their resilience and balanced cup character. The result is a comforting, approachable coffee with notes of molasses, chocolate milk, and buttered pecan, supported by a rich body and gentle acidity.
In this year's offering, we taste notes of molasses, milk chocolate, and buttered pecan.
