More about the Producer

Keremba Warioba was born and raised in Tanzania. In 2016, while working abroad in Australia, Keremba felt the call of his home country and returned to found Communal Shamba the following year. Communal Shamba now grows and processes coffee from their two farms, Umoja & Kipenzi, focusing on post harvest processing in order to create exceptional coffees. When founded in 2017, Communal Shamba lacked the infrastructure to process washed coffees and only produced natural coffees. In the years since Keremba has added the equipment and processing infrastructure at Umoja, his largest farm, to be able to process washed coffee. These washed coffee offerings give a different look at his exceptional coffees that were not originally available from Communal Shamba.
