Kenya Igegania AA - Igegania Cooperative was founded at the end of English colonial rule of Kenya. Members of the community in the area of Gatundu volunteered their time for just under a year from 1966-67 to build the cooperative's washing station. After an economic downturn and local politics closed the cooperative in the late 1990’s, it was revamped and reformed in 2019 to once again serve the coffee producing community in Gatundu. 1057 members now contribute coffee to this lot and in return receive credit services, agronomical training, and sustainable inputs through the cooperative. Their coffee is a beautiful example of quality Kenyan coffee with notes of apricot, concord grape, molasses, vanilla, caramel, clove, and hibiscus.
